David

David joined the pastoral staff at Hope in August of 2012. He received his bachelor’s degree from Davidson College in 1996, where he majored in Latin and Greek. After graduation, David taught Latin and coached tennis and wrestling at Brentwood Academy in Nashville, TN for three years, before heading off to St. Louis to pursue a Master of Divinity at Covenant Theological Seminary. Prior to coming to Hope, David served as the RUF Campus Minister at Davidson College for 9 years – his first call out of seminary. He married his wife, Margaret Ann, in 1998 and they have three wonderful children: Mary Gray, Sam, and Lewis. Margaret Ann is a registered nurse and enjoys working several days a week their children’s school in the health room.

David loves CrossFit, playing guitar and mandolin, tennis, and mountain biking. You are likely to find him holding a Diet SunDrop in one hand and a book in the other.

David keeps the Sabbath on Mondays.
