Looking Up – We need you!
This may seem a little intense to you (it still kind of does to me), but behind the scenes, the staff has already been working for nearly three months on our volunteer recruiting for next fall. We’ve been refreshing our volunteer job descriptions, checking in with current volunteers, and assessing our needs for next year. This month, we kick it into high gear as we begin to figure out where our volunteers may best fit for next year. Of course, we want you serving where you are gifted and where you are passionate. We believe that we are all gifted differently and that our diversity is actually why the church works so well. A huge element of figuring out that fit is our Ministry Match Survey. If you’ve grown up in the church, you’ve probably taken a Spiritual Gifts assessment at some point. This is somewhat similar, except it’s both a little more fluid (our giftings and capacities fluctuate over time) and a little more specific to Hope Church. You can think about it as figuring out which part of this particular body you are.
So, we need you!
If you have not taken the Ministry Match Survey yet, please do so by clicking here, even if you are at max volunteering capacity. The work of the church is an all-hands-on-deck mission, but how you employ your hands may differ vastly year to year and from one season of life to another. We know that you may not be able to volunteer in a new way. It’s also okay if you want to take a step back from a ministry you’ve served in for years in order to try something new. Taking the survey isn’t a commitment to volunteer, but it will help you consider what roles match you and perhaps expose you to newer opportunities as you make decisions. It’s a quick survey (about 3 minutes) and you’ll get instant results in your email. For those who prefer to take it on paper, we will have printed copies on the table at the back of the worship hall. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to me.
Blessings,
Sarah Beam
