Dear Hope Family,
When I worked for a non-profit that serves apartment communities, I learned that if someone makes just one friend in their community, they are 8% more likely to renew their lease. And if they make 7+ friends, that number more than doubles. Although it is not the purpose of the Church to become a social club, there is way too much sin, suffering, and sorrow in our lives to go it alone. Meaningful relationships are key to a life spent following Jesus.
- Sunday School: This is a low-commitment event that occurs every week in the Adult Education room upstairs from 10:00-10:45am. Teachers lead seminars on the Bible or other topical-based discussions, and there is an opportunity to interact with those around you.
- Life Groups: Sometimes you need to belong to a community of faith before you believe what is taught, and Life Groups are one way to do just that. Life Groups are medium-sized communities that enable you to make friends, share struggles, and learn what it means to follow Jesus. They meet weekly or biweekly and typically run from September – May. >> Register for a Life Group
- Men’s Cohorts: It’s been said that male loneliness is a silent epidemic in our culture. Our men’s cohorts are intended to provide men with an opportunity to consistently connect around the simple rhythm of Word and Prayer. Whether you’re still discovering Christianity or have considered yourself a believer for years, you have a place here. We are currently going through the Gospel of Mark and have several groups throughout the week. >> Register for a Cohort
- Men’s Meetups: From time to time, we will schedule informal meetups for men, whether that’s at a local watering hole, a lunch spot downtown, or a larger event. Our next Men’s Meetup is coming up while the women are away on their retreat: Saturday, November 4th, 9:00-11:30am, we will have a “Pancake Breakfast & Pigskin Toss.” >> (See details here.)
