Dear Hope Family,
For the past two months I have had the opportunity to participate in the Women’s Leadership Cohort through the ministry of The Gospel Coalition. Over the past eight Tuesday mornings, I met virtually with 190 other women who lead women’s ministries all over the world. We had a time of teaching which provided excellent content in topics such as “The Whys and Hows of Women’s Ministry,” “Developing Women Leaders in the Church,” “The Use of Scripture in Life on Life Ministry” and other topics relevant to women’s ministry. I met with a small group of women each week to discuss the content and collaborate. Our small group included women from the UK, Ohio, Kansas, Florida and Maryland. I learned a lot and am excited about implementing some of the concepts in our Women’s Ministry here at Hope. During the two months in the cohort, I became convinced that one way we can minister effectively together is to have women’s ministry teams that focus on discipleship, service and connection among women. Our Women’s Bible Study Leadership and Women Praying For Women are both established teams that are ministering weekly to women at Hope. Recently we have been continuing to build a Women’s Event Planning Team, a Women’s Care Team and a team that is focusing on discipleship and mentoring.
Our Women’s Event Planning Team is focusing on providing opportunities for women to connect in order to build friendships and relationships, serve the community through creative service projects and at times offer spiritual content as well. This Team is currently planning a Women’s Dinner at Hope on Saturday, April 2nd from 7-9pm. We would love to have you join us! Please register by March 27 and come enjoy a night of friendship and food! I look forward to seeing you there. >>Register Here
Our Women’s Care Team would like to care for women in our congregation who are facing crisis or going through a difficult season. This team will be sending cards, providing and organizing meals and childcare and serving in other ways to support women who are experiencing difficult circumstances. Be on the lookout for an email letting you know who is on this team and how you can connect with them if you have a need.
The third team, along with our already formed WBS Leadership and Women Praying for Women, will be focusing on life ministry and how women can encourage each other in discipleship and mentoring relationships. We are praying for direction to create opportunities for spiritual encouragement and growth.
If you would like to join any of these teams, please reach out and let me know. I am excited about the ways women can connect with one another and encourage each other in our faith here at Hope. Please consider joining one of our weekly Women’s Bible Study meetings, if you have not already. While we encourage women to be involved in all of Hope’s ministries and opportunities, we want to provide a weekly opportunity for women to connect with each other.
During this season of Lent as we reflect on the Cross and anticipate the Resurrection, may you know the joy and peace that comes from walking with Jesus.
