Dear Hope Family,
I’m sure by now you’re tired of hearing about what we’ve lost over the past two years. While there’s a time and place for grief and lament in the Christian life, we also grieve with hope because our Savior Jesus is alive, and he calls us to experience resurrection life now, even as joy is mixed with sorrow. As one of our core values explains, “we long for the fullness of heaven as our true hope born of Christ’s resurrection, and we labor in the present to bring foretastes of that restoration to come into the present of our lives here on earth.”
Our staff and leadership are dreaming of ways we can provide more points of fellowship and connection, where you and those you invite into our community may also experience foretastes of restoration. In just two weeks, we have one such opportunity. On Palm Sunday, April 10th, we’d love to welcome you to a church-wide brunch and Easter egg hunt at 10:15am on the lawn. There will be breakfast foods and drinks, an egg-cellent activity for kids, and time to connect (or reconnect!) with your Hope family.
In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you. How can we help you find connection and belonging at Hope? What are some fun fellowship activities you’d love for us to try? Let’s pray and dream together!
Peace,
Ethan
