Dear Hope Family,
I don’t know about you, but it feels like I need more wisdom today than I did yesterday. And it’s getting harder and harder to find wisdom in our ever-changing world. Social media, politicians, news networks: they overpromise and underdeliver. Where is wisdom to be found?
Our text this week—Ephesians 5:15-20—gives us an answer: wisdom is found in God. Okay, but what does that look like practically? When we are making a difficult life decision, when we are counseling a friend, when we are parenting an ornery child, how do we know what’s wise? And how can we have the courage to act? I’m so thankful that Paul helps us through his writing to the Ephesians, and I’m looking forward to sharing with you what I’m learning about what it means to walk in wisdom as a follower of Jesus.
Pray for David, who is on study leave and ministering to Greystone Camp this week. Also, remember the Otto family in your prayers, as they mourn the loss of their husband and father, Kemp.
Peace,
Ethan
