Dear Hope Family,
Over the last month, we have had in-person worship each Sunday morning in our worship hall. Thank you for helping us stay safe and extending kindness and courtesy to others by wearing masks and staying socially distant. We realize it is not the ideal way to worship the Lord, but the Lord hears our songs and prayers and knows the cry of our heart. And we look forward to the day when we all can return and see each others’ faces and give one another hugs!
This Sunday we are opening our Sunday morning worship to all Hope members and regular attenders, plus visitors and guests. We have set the capacity at 75 and will still be abiding by the same safety guidelines. If you would like to join us, please make sure you register each person in your party so that we can get an accurate count. >>Register here
I believe this time of trial and testing is giving us a real longing for the New Heavens and New Earth, where we will experience the joy of the Lord forever. If you find time in your day, read Hebrews 3-4 for this Sunday. As the author tells us, there remains a sabbath rest for the people of God—one that will not only give us one day each week to rest, but a sabbath that will extend into eternity.
I love you, Hope Church, and so long for the day when we will all gather together, without masks and without distance, and raise our voices to worship Jesus. Until that time, I look forward to seeing you this Sunday, either in the morning or at our evening service on the lawn.
