Dear Hope Family,
We are excited to welcome the Rev. John Bourgeois to the pulpit this Sunday. John serves as the RUF Campus Minister at Wake Forest University, and we love to think of him as an Assistant Pastor from Hope and all the PCA churches in this region – sent to pastor college students as an arm of our church to the campus. John will be preaching from Psalm 133, as we continue our summer-long focus on learning the language of the heart from the Psalms.
This week we are also excited to officially open our search for new a Connections Coordinator for Hope. Vickie Turner, who has served faithfully with excellence for many years, is retiring at the end of August. We are praying for God to raise up an individual from within our congregation who can be a warm, welcoming first point of contact for our guests and visitors each week as well as help interested guests and new members be enfolded into the life of Hope Church. A link to the full job description and explanation of the position will be linked in this edition of Looking Up and more information will be available in this Sunday’s bulletin. Please join me in prayer for God’s kind, timely provision for this vital ministry of our church.
Grace and peace,
