Dear Hope Family,
One of the ways God is providing for us as a church and helping us cultivate a fruitful, healthy ministry is his gift of exceptional staff members at Hope. Last week I wrote about the new position of Church Sexton that is held by James Clements, and you can already see the fruit of his time among us with a fresh coat of paint on the main hallways downstairs, patched dry-wall dings, and squeak-less doors throughout the building. We continue to be deeply thankful for James and his willingness to throw his lot in with us.
I have neglected to let you know about another timely provision for our music ministry. We welcomed Abigail Johntston as our interim Worship and Arts Coordinator on June 24th. She is working with us for 10 weeks this summer to enable Julie Money to take a leave from her daily responsibilities and spend time in Minnesota coordinating her father’s memorial service and closing his home and estate. Abigail is married to Daniel, and they have a wonderful daughter, Rivers. She, of course, is no stranger to Hope, as she is Lance and Lynn Crumley’s daughter and has served in the worship ministry previously.
Please do welcome Abigail and thank for her investment of time in this crucial avenue of ministry and pray for her to sense God’s pleasure and blessing in her work.
I am looking forward to being with you on Sunday!
Grace and peace,
