Dear Hope Church Family,
You may have noticed how we have recently begun to re-emphasize Hope Church’s role in missions. Our goal is to bring more awareness to missionaries and evangelistic agencies and efforts that we support through our missions budget, as well as enable you to get to know who they are and pray for them. We also want you to have opportunities to serve and encourage missionaries through participation with short-term teams that we send out.
For example, this Sunday we will be commissioning a missions team that will be going to the Dominican Republic to labor alongside the staff at a Young Life camp called Pico Escondido and help them prepare for summer campers. Our team, made up of four youth and four adults from Hope, along with 35 others from Redeemer and New Hope, will travel from June 23rd – July 1st. A prayer guide will be available for you in the back of the worship center this Sunday, so you can know how to pray for this team.
I look forward to opening God’s Word with you again this week, as we consider Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:14-19 and what it means to feel full(ness) when we are hungry.
