Spring is upon us! I’m sure many of you are as excited as I am about the prospect of warmer temperatures, sunshine, and blooming flowers.
Would you please join me in reading Acts 6:8-7:53 before Sunday, as we will not get a chance to read the entire passage in worship? Notice how Stephen wisely and skillfully leads his accusers to Jesus, the Righteous One. Despite what we know will soon take place (the martyrdom of Stephen), there is still joy, because all of God’s promises are “yes” and “amen” in Jesus.
I will leave you with this encouraging quote regarding the persecution in China: “Some people view this time to be a winter for Chinese Christians. In fact, it has been winter since Pentecost, but we are always looking forward to spring.”
Let’s pray for our brothers and sisters in China, Nigeria, and around the world, and ask God how we might trust his grace more this week.
