Dear Hope Family,
What an imponderable season we have been enduring – pinballing from natural disasters to yet another senseless, evil massacre to political rancor to injustice seen and unseen! We do well to lament, grieve, and cry out – to worship God with our tears and our pleas for mercy, to ask, “How long, O Lord?”
The Psalmist, writing in the midst of similar season of acute brokenness having drawn near, pens the following words, “When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul” (Psalm 94:18-19).
I am looking forward to bringing the cares of my heart together with your cares this Sunday and having the steadfast love of the Lord hold us up and cheer our souls for this season and whatever else lies ahead.
Grace and peace,
