Flo
Flo grew up in the Hudson River Valley, about two hours north of NYC. Before she turned five, she had spent six months in rehab hospitals and survived polio. Upon her return home, she decided to teach, and it’s forever been her passion. After earning her degree in English, she and Dave married after he returned from
Vietnam. Flo’s 34-year teaching career included public and Christian high schools as well as counseling courses at three Christian colleges.
Dave and Flo raised their two sons outside Annapolis and became very involved in a PCA church plant for almost 40 years. Choir, College & Career, Pre-Marriage Counseling, Bible study, and Women’s Ministry kept Flo very active until spinal surgeries led to retirement and the slower pace of their log cabin in Western Maryland. In God’s providence, Covid brought both Wolfe sons and their families to Winston Salem, and gave Dave and Flo an apartment and a church family at Hope.
